Minister Rizvanolli participates in the Digital Summit of the Western Balkans

 

Podgorica, 14 October 2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli has participated in the 4th edition of the Digital Summit, which is organized in cooperation with the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), which this year was held in Podgorica.

 

Minister Rizvanolli participated in the Ministerial Morning, which brought together the relevant ministers of the region in the field of ICT and Digitalization with representatives of businesses and non-governmental organizations in the field, to provide a platform for exchange of ideas and needs for narrower cooperation.

 

Minister Rizvanolli also participated in the high-level panel together with other relevant ministers of the Western Balkans region, to discuss the priorities that each of the six countries has in the field of digitalization.

 

During the panel, Minister Rizvanolli shared the main priorities of the Ministry of Economy and the Government of Kosovo, which extend around the building blocks of e-government (including e-payments), the expansion of e-government services for citizens and businesses, training of professionals in the field of ICT, digitalization of education systems, etc.

 

During the Summit, Minister Rizvanolli announced that the Republic of Kosovo will be the host country of the 5th Digital Summit, which will be held in Prishtina during 2022.
