Prishtina, 12.10.2021 – The Minister of Economy (ME), Artane Rizvanolli received at the meeting Llyr Rowland, President of Tetra Tech. The meeting was also attended by Arben Nagavci from USAID, as well as Ylber Batalli and Mark Oven from Tetra Tech.

The President of Tetra Tech, Llyr Rowland has several years of experience in Kosovo as a resident advisor from 2007-2013 and also has extensive knowledge of the energy sector in Kosovo. During the meeting, Minister Rizvanolli said that the energy sector is important for the sustainable economic development of the country, and therefore any support is welcome.

“We are grateful for the continuous support we have from you, especially your contribution in the field of energy. It is important to have mutual cooperation to work in the interest of the country and to reflect the priorities of the Government “, said Rizvanolli.

While on his part Mr. Llyr Lowand praised the progress that has been made in Kosovo, offering his support in the future.

“It is a pleasure to be back in Kosovo and from the personal experience I had from 2007-2013, many things have changed and there has been progress not only in the energy sector, but also in other sectors. The integration of Renewable Energy Sources is a challenge that the countries of the region are facing and we are here to support you.

Therefore, we will continue to support Kosovo towards a fair transition and it is a pleasure to be together in this transition”, said Mr. Lowand.

Further, Mr. Rowland emphasized the commitment that ESA staff is making in the Integration of the Regional Market as well as the Integration of the Electricity Market with Albania.
