The Ministry of Economy continues regular meetings with experts

Prishtina, 29.09.2021 – The Minister of the Ministry of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, together with representatives of her cabinet, as well as the Department of Energy in ME, held a meeting with energy experts from KOSTT, KEK, ERO, and independent experts were also present.

This is the fourth meeting in a row that brings together experts in order to identify problems, difficulties (challenges) in the energy sector and identify concrete opportunities for their solution in order to improve the situation in this sector.

The working team is focusing on scenarios that will provide diversification and mix energy at a lower cost.

The main topics addressed so far in the meetings are as follows:

1. Increasing the security of electricity supply;

2. Increasing the flexibility of the electricity system in the case of integration of Renewable Energy Sources in the network; and

3. Opportunities for opening the internal energy market and integration in the regional market.
These intensive working group meetings are a step towards drafting the Kosovo Energy Strategy (2022-2032).
