ME receives the Mobile Monitoring Station equipment

 

Prishtina, 28.09.2021 – The Ministry of Economy (ME) has received the equipment of the Mobile Monitoring Station with all the accompanying equipment such as: receivers, antennas for finding the direction of signal arrival and other hardware and software elements.

 

The first of the ME, Minister Rizvanolli, said that one of the first decisions taken by the Government in April this year, was the treatment of the National Spectrum Monitoring System (NSMS), as a project for national protection.

 

After the reception, Minister Rizvanolli visited closely and learned about the details of the Mobile Frequency Monitoring Station, together with representatives of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic and Postal Communications (RAEPC) including the chairperson of the board, the director of the Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Department, representatives of the implementing company (TCI International), project representatives, and representatives of the Department of Post-Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technology (DPTICT) from the Ministry of Economy.

 

The mobile monitoring station will enable the monitoring of frequency bands from 20MHz to 8.5GHz, authorized by RAEPC throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

 

Also, with the help of this system, it will be possible to identify interferences that may occur from the use of frequency bands by authorized users as well as the identification of unauthorized users of these bands.

 

The NSMS Project is funded by the World Bank as part of the Kosovo Digital Economy Project implemented by the Ministry of Economy, and the NSMS System is under implementation for the needs of RAEPC.
