Warsaw, 24.09.2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, attended the Forum on Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation, organized by the United States Department of Energy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate and Environment of Poland and the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center.

Kosovo was represented for the first time in this forum, among 22 European countries, the United States and the European Union.

During the forum, Minister Rizvanolli met with United States Secretary of Energy, Mrs Jennifer Granholm.

It was stressed during the meeting that Kosovo and the United States have the readiness and opportunities for cooperation in the field of energy. Secretary Granholm expressed to Minister Rizvanolli her support and the United States support for Government reforms, including the rule of law and anti-corruption efforts.

Further, during the closing remarks of the forum, Secretary Granholm welcomed Kosovo’s participation in this partnership. She added that, over the next week, the American Research Center, Argonne National Laboratory, will visit Kosovo, specifically KOSTT, for potential studies to adapt the network for protection against cyber-attacks and global warming.
