Prishtina, 30 August 2020 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, together with the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, and the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, hosted the leaders of the seven Regional Water Companies in Kosovo.

During the meeting, the ministers presented the work being done through inter-ministerial cooperation in terms of the safety of drinking water, and identification and solution of common issues.

Furthermore, during the meeting, the steps of close cooperation between the Government of Kosovo and the Regional Water Companies have been discussed, in order to target and prevent potential issues in the future.

The heads of the Regional Companies presented their work to the three ministers, including information on the coverage of municipalities with drinking water, coverage with wastewater services, losses in the existing network, costs of current projects, digitalization of networks, etc.
