The Innovation and Training Park in Prizren is subsidized with 2 million euros by MEE

 

Prishtina, 18.12.2020 – Today, in the Ministry of Economy and Environment, was signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren (ITP).

 

This agreement was signed by Minister Blerim Kuçi and the representative of the Innovation and Training Park, Muhamed Rexhepi. The value of this agreement is 2 million euros, as a subsidy only for 2020. The budget for subsidizing this park will continue in the coming years.

 

ITP is a joint project between Kosovo and Germany, which aims to create new jobs and economic development in general, becoming a nursery for local and international businesses.

 

The main sectors developed within the ITP are: Information Technology, Agriculture and Food Processing, Creative and Cultural Industries and Vocational Training. The park is now open and businesses are applying to become part of the ITP.

 

Also, the Centre of Digital Excellence will function within this park, as a special project of the Ministry of Economy and Environment.
