MEE and JICA talk about the development of projects supported by the Japanese Agency

Prishtina, 06.10.2020 – The Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Environment, Fatos Qermi, and the Chief of the Cabinet of the Minister, Bedri Berisha, have held today a virtual meeting with officials of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

JICA officials presented the support provided to the Republic of Kosovo in many areas, including the ongoing project “Capacity Development for Air Pollution Control in the Republic of Kosovo”, where JICA experts presented the achievements of this project.

It was also reiterated that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is impossible for JICA experts to complete the aforementioned project, therefore MEE and JICA agreed to extend the project until the situation from this pandemic improves.

MEE Secretary General, Fatos Qermi, offered support to JICA experts for the finalization of the project and expressed gratitude towards JICA for all the support provided, hoping for further cooperation in the future.
