Minister Kuçi hosted in a meeting the new Hungarian Ambassador Bencze, they discussed the Financial Agreement

The Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi, hosted today in a meeting the new Hungarian Ambassador to Kosovo, Jozef Bencze. The German Ambassador was accompanied by Kristztina Szabo, Economic Relations Attaché, and Ms Mirdita Bicaj.

Ambassador Bencze and Minister Kuçi discussed the relations between the two countries and Kosovo’s international agreements with Hungary.

The conversation went further on the Agreement on Establishment of the Finance Cooperation Framework Program, that is expected to be ratified soon by the Assembly of Kosovo.

This agreement signed years ago, according to Ambassador Bencze, has lagged behind in concretization. Minister Kuçi promised that the implementation of projects in the field of water will be facilitated by the Ministry of Economy and Environment.

“The projects in Ferizaj, Deçan, Drenas and Gjakova are of special importance and all are priorities for the citizens of these municipalities, which have already been informed”, said Mr Kuçi.

Ambassador Josef Bencze announced that a high-level delegation from the Hungarian Government will visit on 13 October 2020.
