Ministers Kuçi and Abrashi discussed the projects of the Agreement of 4 September with the DFC team

 

The Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi and the Minister of Infrastructure, Arban Abrashi held a meeting with the delegation of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC): Caleb McCarry, Brian Martalus and John Jovanovic.

 

The topics of discussion at this meeting were derived from the Agreement of 4 September in Washington.

 

The infrastructural share was specifically discussed for the main projects such as the “Prishtina-Merdare” Highway, the “Prishtina-Merdare” Railway with a multimodal station, the Railway to the Adriatic Sea and the Brezovica project.

 

Whereas in the spectrum of the Ministry of Economy and Environment it was discussed about the main projects of the energy sector including access to the international gas network, access to renewable energy development projects and options for conventional-based energy.

 

Among other things, in this meeting coordination in order to involve the private sector as an engine of economic development and DFC support options in this very important sector were also discussed.
What was not left out of the news was the possible support in the Economic Recovery Program for COVID-19.
