Prishtina, 14.07.2020 – The Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi today held a meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Prishtina, Shpend Ahmeti.

Minister Blerim Kuçi and Mayor Shpend Ahmeti discussed regarding a number of topics which emphasize the better functioning of all public services that depend on Central Public Enterprises during this period.

Minister Kuçi assured the executive of the capital that he will focus on Prishtina and that the cooperation will be permanent.

“All previous agreements and memoranda between the Municipality of Prishtina and the departments of the Ministry of Economy and Environment will be taken into account and we express our readiness to continue the cooperation. Prishtina is the capital and we know the importance of regular functioning in the capital. This also includes public services performed by Central Public Enterprises, which are part of the scope of our ministry. The same will apply for topics pertaining to the Environment or Spatial Planning”, stated Minister Blerim Kuçi.

On the other hand, Mayor Shpend Ahmeti expressed his happiness for the cooperative approach of Minister Kuçi, extending his gratitude to him as well as expressing his readiness for any type of cooperation.

This meeting also included the signing of a memorandum between the Ministry of Economy and Environment, whereby, for the next 10 years, the Ministry will provide the Municipality of Prishtina with a space to be used for the Tourist Information Point.

This point will be located in a ground floor level space at the Ministry of Economy and will have a direct exit to the “Zahir Pajaziti” square.
