Prishtina, 21.03.2019 – The Kosovo Agency on Energy Efficiency today held the second meeting of the Working Team on the Drafting of the National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency (NAPEE), chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Agency on Energy Efficiency, Mr. Arsim Kuliqi. This meeting was attended by representatives from the Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of European Integration, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Local Government Administration, Ministry of Health, KUCC, Ministry of Finances, KEC, KOSTT, GFA and GIZ KEEP.

During the meeting were presented results achieved so far with regard to savings made during the reporting period 2016-2018. Furthermore, an overview of energy efficiency measures identified in the fourth NAPEE was presented along with an overview on the status of implementing the Energy Efficiency Directive.

The drafting of the National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency 2019-2021 is supported by the project “Support to the Implementation of the 3rd Energy Package with a focus on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources”, funded by the EU. The NAPEE 2019-2021 is foreseen to be submitted to the Energy Community Secretariat in June this year.
