Prishtina, 12.03.2019 – The Minister of Economic Development, hosted in a meeting Qatar’s non-resident Ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Ali Bin Hamad Al Marri, with whom he discussed the possibilities of economic cooperation in the sectors covered by MED.

Minister Lluka thanked Ambassador Ali Bin Hamad Al Marri for the visit, while informing him on the scope of the Ministry of Economic Development, and asking to look at the possibilities of increasing cooperation between Kosovo and Qatar.

“The Ministry of Economic Development operates in several sectors, including therein energy, information technology, and mines, which are fields of great potential and open for investments. I would like to avail myself of this opportunity and invite you to look at the possibilities provided in these areas, and also call-on Qatar businesses to invest in Kosovo” stated Mr. Lluka.

On the other hand, Ambassador Ali Bin Hamad Al Marri expressed his pleasure to be visiting Kosovo, and thanked minister Lluka for the warm reception and briefing on the situation of sectors covered by the Ministry, and stated that the possibilities of increasing cooperation between Qatar and Kosovo will be considered.

Also, the water sector in Kosovo was a topic of discussion, with the purpose of drawing investments from Qatar.

Finally, Minister Lluka presented the Non-Resident Ambassador of Qatar to Kosovo, Mr. Ali Bin Hamad Al Marri with a gift.
