Prishtinë, 26.11.2017 – The Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, participated as a panel member in the opening of the Conference “Days of Dialogue with the Diaspora”, held in the capital of North Rhine-Westphalen Land of the Federal Republic of Germany Cologne.

Other participants in the conference were the President of Albania Ilir Meta, Deputy Mayor of Cologne Ralf Heinen, Secretary of the German State Serep Guler, mayrs from Albania, Ambassadors of Albania and Kosovo, Consul of Honor Anduena Stephan and many representatives of the Albanian Diaspora in Germany and beyond.

The conference was organized by the Association Ideal, under the patronage of the Consulate of Honor and embassies of Albania and Kosovo in Berlin.

Minister Lluka and other representatives of institutions from Kosovo and Albania discussed with the participants on the role of the Albanian diaspora for the development of their countries of origin, and especially their role for the economic development and improvement of the business climate, in order for them to orientate their investments towards Kosovo and Albania.

In the frame of this visit, Minister Lluka was also received by the Prime Minister of the North Rhine-Westphalen Land, Armin Laschet, the Land Minister of Finance and Mayor of Dusseldorf.

In addition, Minister Lluka met with the renowned businessman Lazim Destani, to discuss investment opportunities in Kosovo.
