Lluka meets Matthew Palmer of the US State Department

Prishtina, 13.10.2017 – During his stay in Washington D.C., attending the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka also met with the Director for Southeast Europe in the US State Department, Mr. Matthew Palmer.

Lluka and Palmer discussed on the most recent developments in Kosovo, with special emphasis on the country’s economic development. Minister Lluka used the occasion to inform Director Palmer on the development of projects funded by the American state, World Bank and IMF.

The meeting was also used to discuss on projects expected to be supported by the United States of America through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Palmer congratulated Minister Lluka on the new position and on Kosovo’s accomplishments in the economic sphere, and promise further and comprehensive support by the State Department in issues related to Kosovo’s economic development.

During his stay in Washington, Minister Lluka is expected to meet other senior officials of the American State Department, executives of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund and representatives of other relevant institutions supporting projects aimed to serve the country’s economic development.
