Zogaj Gashi: Kosovo is in the right path with its online services

Prishtinë, 05.04.2017 – As a government we are committed to increasing online public services, increase transparency and accountability, by expanding online information services for citizens and businesses such as e-procurement. The aim is to act in cooperation with the business sector and implement policies that would prevent misuses and corruption, said the Deputy Minister of Economic Development Besa Zogaj – Gashi, at the third forum Infocon Albania held in Tirana.

Furthermore Zogaj – Gashi added that in tackling this challenge, the Government intensified its actions by improving transparency and public services, “Draft laws, and other strategic and policy documents are published through the state portal and enable citizens to comment and provide propositions within the legal deadline foreseen in the regulation”, said Zogaj – Gashi.
Zogaj – Gashi also explained that by applying electronic procurement Kosovo is fulfilling two obligations, because application of electronic procurement equalises Kosovo with many European countries that apply this type of procurement.

“Electronic procurement system provides secure, efficient and transparent preparations and administration of all documents that are related to tendering process, by avoiding submission of documents in hard copies and by ensuring secure flow of information throughout the process”, said Zogaj – Gashi.
