Stavileci recessives full support from the PDK Parliamentary Group for the ‘Kosova e Re’ PP Project

Prishtinë, 28.02.2017 – Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci on his request reported today in front of the Parliamentary Group of Kosovo Democratic Party, whereby he informed the assembly members about the process of the ‘Kosova e Re’ PP Project, and received full support from them.

Stavileci said that after a year of negotiations with the American investor, the World Bank and EBRD, next week we will enter the final stage which will lead to signing of the financial stage of this project.

According to him this will also include aspects required by the EU related to social and environmental issues.

“Despite the challenges, we have managed to attract the interest of big investors that will construct the power plant. Since April, the American investor will open the tendering package for the construction of the power plant and the construction will follow next year”, said Stavileci.

The head of MED received a full support from the parliamentary Group of PDK for this project, considering it as necessary for economic development of the country.
