Prishtinë, 23.02.2017 – Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci reemphasised his support for Inovation in IT technology, by stating that this sector is already in the government agenda as a component of the strategy for economic development, respectively creative economy, which will be implemented through ideas enabled by the field of ICT.

Minister Stavileci made these comments during a working meeting with heads of Association for Information and Communication Technology of Kosovo (STIKK), with whom he discussed the possibility for cooperation with the aim of further advancement of this sector.

In this respect they discussed making the technological park in Berrnica village Prishtina operational. It will be a location for this field and will enable creation of new jobs.

In this occasion Minister Stavileci informed them that MED will provide technical assistance in order to make the Technological Incubator in Bernica operational as soon as possible.

Vjollca Qavolli, executive director of STICKK thanked minister Stavileci for placing the field of IT in the Government Agenda as it will make the country economy more creative in the future. She added that there is already an interest from foreign donors who expressed their interest for investing in the field of ICT.

After the meeting, Minister Stavileci accompanied by STIKK Managers conducted a visit to the Technological Park in Bernica village.
