Stavileci took part in the Global Mining Sector Conference in Canada

Prishtina, 03.07.2016 – Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci, is attending the largest global mining conference, which is held annually in Toronto, where he will give a presentation on the mineral resources of Kosovo and investment opportunities in this sector.

The International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange 2016 Conference, PDAC, is the largest conference in terms of the number of participants, namely companies and organizations involved in mineral exploration. It is attended by around 1,000 exhibitors and 23,500 participants from over 100 countries.

The aim of PDAC is to promote mineral exploration and sustainable development of the sector, encouraging modern environmental techniques that enhance the safety and social performance in the international level.

In the Conference, Stavileci will present the opportunities and specific investment projects in the mining sector, and zones of special interest, aimed at encouraging foreign investment.

In the margins of the conference, Minister Stavileci had bilateral meetings with the Minister of Foreign Trade of Canada, Chrystia Freeland, regarding the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, Stavileci met with various heads of companies and organizations.
