The German Model is a guarantee for the future of Kosovo

Prishtina, 08.04.2014 – The Minister of Economic Development, Fadil Ismajli, met today with Wilhelm Hicking, President of the Chamber of Commerce in Dortmund, Germany, accompanied by Franc Musolli, Project Coordinator of the Professional Education in Kosovo Partnership, and Safet Gërxhaliu, President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.

In the meeting they discussed on the promotion of cooperation in the areas under the scope of MED, with a focus on the initiative for the education of 25 young people in Germany in areas such as mechatronics, electronics, management, etc., as well as the possibility of transferring their academic and professional experience in Kosovo.

Minister Ismajli added that investments in human capacity building are very important, considering them an investment with highest rate of return. The Minister gave high appreciation to this German Chamber of Commerce to support Kosovo in this area.

Otherwise, the German Chamber of Commerce has supported the Innovation Centre in Drenas, and is planning to support the KEK Training Centre in order to raise the level of quality and professionalism, and ensure certification and licensing of the two centres in line with European Standards.
