Prishtina, 07.04.2014 – Minster of Economic Development, Fadil Ismajli, met today with the new Ambassador of Albania in Kosovo, Qemal Minxhozi, with whom he discussed on the overall developments in the country, with a special emphasis in economic development.

Minister Ismajli congratulated Ambassador Minxhozi on his new appointment, and had high consideration for the cooperation between Kosovo and Albania in all areas, expressing conviction it will be further enhanced.

Economic Minister informed the Albanian diplomat on the economic processes in Kosovo, including energy projects, where cooperation between the two countries is entering a new stage after the signing of the agreement on the 400 kV transmission line, and the creation of a common energy market.

Minister Ismajli said that economic cooperation with Albania is of high importance to Kosovo, given the complementarity of energy sources and economies of the two countries.

Ismajli and Minxhozi concluded that the good cooperation achieved thus far must continue further, and expressed their readiness to continue this cooperation in the same intensity in the future.
