Government appraises KEK for its achievements

Prishtina, 19 March 2013 – Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi, accompanied by Minister of Economic Development Fadil Ismajli and Minister of Finance Besim Beqaj, visited today the Kosovo Energy Corporation to get acquainted with operations and achievements in this corporation.

Senior government officials discussed with KEK Board, Director and Management on maximum generation levels during last and this year, and congratulated employees of this corporation on the good work and results.

The Prime Minister informed KEK employees on his request to KEK Management and Board to commonly with the trade union of all KEK employees work in increasing the salaries of all KEK employees by 120 euro, in a linear manner, in order for the said increment to become applicable as of 1 April.

Prime Minister Thaçi congratulated KEK on investments made and environmental improvements implemented, including benefits brought for the local community in Obiliq.
