Prishtina, 21.06.2013 – Minister of Economic Development, Fadil Ismajli, met today the Turkish Ambassador in Kosovo, Songul Ozan, with whom he discussed on the recent economic developments and further bilateral cooperation.

Minister Ismajli expressed his gratitude to the Turkish diplomat for the assistance this country has continuously given to Kosovo, and highly appreciated the presence of Turkish investors in Kosovo, which have had a direct impact in strengthening the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Minister informed Ambassador Ozan on the MED focus and priorities to achieve a sustainable economic development, ongoing projects, and added that foreign investments are of particular importance for economic growth.

From her part, Ambassador Songul Ozan congratulated Minister Ismajli on his new position and expressed her country’s readiness to further enhance cooperation with Kosovo, particularly in the areas covered by MED.

On this occasion, Ambassador Ozan also submitted an official invitation for Minister Ismajli’s participation in a Fair to be organized in September this year in Bursa, and an invitation for the Economic Forum to be held in November this year in Turkey.
