Prishtina, 20 March 2013 – The Minister of Economic Development, Besim Beqaj met Microsoft regional director in Sofia, Mr. George Randelov, with whom he discussed on the deepening of cooperation with this American corporation, which is the leading developer of a wide array of information technology-related products and services.

Minister Beqaj used the occasion to inform Mr. Randelov on the country’s legal and institutional framework, while requesting the inclusion of Republic of Kosovo in Microsoft’s list of states.

Further, the necessity of opening a Microsoft distribution office and Innovation Center in Prishtina was discussed, along with cooperation in the sphere of education in primary and secondary schools.

For his part, Microsoft regional director in Sofia, George Randelov promised to carefully analyze all requests and expressed his will and readiness to further expand cooperation in future.
