First three wind generators have been inaugurated

Pristina, 16 February 2010 – On Tuesday Minister of Energy and Mining Justina Shiroka Pula along with Deputy Minister Dr. Techn. Blerim Rexha and collaborators has inaugurated the first wind generators park in Kosovo.

At this occasion Minister Justina Shiroka Pula, has confirmed that the Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM) has supported this project since its initiation to the fact that this project consists one of the steps that MEM aims such is the use of renewable energy “Government of Kosovo has supported this project, which also marks the first step of energy supply by wind generators.

The project is also part of objectives what we have as MEM to meet the EU recommendations which means using of renewable energy, “said Minister Pula. On the other hand Esad Sadria company manager Wind Power JSC, which has realized the project, thanked MEM and other institutions without whose assistance the project would not had opportunity to be finalized “I ‘am grateful to MEM and other institutions that have supported project generation of power with wind generators, “said Sadria.

He stated presently that for a long time has been living abroad, while the support that MEM has given to this project has encouraged not hesitation to invest in Kosovo in the field of wind generators.

We are Kosovars that have invested here, investment is not over yet, there are other points which are at the stage of investment. Current Capacity in Golesh is 1.35 MW, these are initial investments, “explained Sadria.

Shareholder Society “Wind Power” is Albanian-German Company that aims to produce electricity from wind, thus contributing to environmental preservation and use of the winds in certain parts of Kosovo.
