Prishtina, 01 September 2022 – The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEC) has completed the overhaul of B2 unit, which has already returned to operation and is generating nearly 260 MWh. Moreover, KEC has completed the repair of water leaks in A3 unit, which has returned to operation and is producing generating 130 MWh.

As of now, KEC has four units operating: A3, A4, B1 and B2, which in total generate nearly 800 MWh.

The Ministry of Economy is monitoring the situation of the overhaul and repair of Kosova A and Kosova B units by KEC to make sure that these units will improve the security of supply during the winter.

While returning in operation of the two units plays a key role in improving the energy situation in the country, as well as in the security of supply, the Ministry of Economy calls upon all citizens and businesses of the country to consume electricity rationally at a time when the country, the region and Europe are facing a difficult energy crisis.
