Mitrovica, 14.10.2022 – The proceedings of the International Multidisciplinary Geosciences Conference IV (IMGC 2022), being held at the “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM), have commenced.

The two-day conference is organized by the Ministry of Economy, “Isa Boletini” University and the Independent Commission for Mines and Minerals.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Economy Getoar Mjeku emphasized the importance of holding the International Multidisciplinary Conference on Geosciences for Kosovo, as our country is rich in mineral resources.

Mjeku also acknowledged that this event is important to catch up with other countries in terms of knowledge and shed light on the development of our country.

Participants in the Conference are representatives from Kosovo, the countries of the region, the USA, Canada and Turkey.

During the first day of the Conference, 38 presenters presented their papers, whereas on the second day the participants shall visit various places in Kosovo related to the field of mining and minerals.
