Prishtina, 13.10.2022 – At its 100th meeting, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo voted for the formation of two inter-institutional Working Groups for the implementation of the MCC Compact Program: Group for Achievement of Preconditions and Working Group on Establishing the entity for the management of the Multi-Functional Energy Storage (MFES) Activity.

These two Groups, supported by our institutions, will provide a support mechanism for citizens in need to mitigate the energy cost, acceleration of permits and installations for new energy generation technologies, integration of energy reserves, establishment of the energy reserves publicly-owned enterprise, increase of the independence of the power system, development and training of the energy workforce, increase of involvement of women in the energy sector; and establishment of the green transition mechanisms.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo together with the USA are implementing the largest project in the energy sector in the country. This project will improve the well-being of our citizens and will help our country create a sustainable future in the energy sector.
