RWC Gjakova and WC Radoniqi-Dukagjini, two enterprises with good performance

Prishtina, 17.10.2022 – Deputy Minister Getoar Mjeku and officials of the Ministry of Economy attended the shareholder meetings in the two water companies in Gjakova, the Regional Water Company “Gjakova” and the Irrigation Company Radoniqi-Dukagjini.

Under the supervision of the temporary Board and now the new Board of Directors, RWC Gjakova has expanded the scope of services and has satisfactorily collected the invoiced payments, closing 2021 with operating profit. The enterprise is now planning the next steps to improve the governance.

Radoniqi-Dukagjini, as an irrigation company, closed 2021 with a record profit and improved customer satisfaction, which includes farmers in the suburbs of Gjakova, Rahovec and Prizren. In the shareholder’s meeting, the importance of irrigation systems for the development of agriculture and the challenges faced by the sector were discussed in particular.

The Ministry of Economy will continue holding shareholder meetings in central publicly owned enterprises, focusing on improving governance and services.
