Prishtina, 11.12.2024 – Kosovo joins international initiative on Security and Resilience of Undersea Cables – New York Principles.

Considering that more than 95 percent of the world’s Internet traffic travels via undersea cables, which form the foundation for global communication.

Stressing the importance of working together to ensure the resiliency and security of undersea cable infrastructure.

These principles demonstrate a commitment to pursuing our common goals of promoting a secure, interoperable ICT ecosystem among partner countries.

Ministry of Economy as responsible Ministry for electronic communications sector and acting on behalf of the Government of Republic of Kosovo endorses New York Principles:

The Declaration contains principles on safety, reliability, interoperability, sustainability and resilience in connection with the planning, deployment, repair and maintenance of submarine cables.
