Prishtina, 26.07.2024 – Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, welcomed the new Mission Chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Kosovo, David Amaglobeli.

Minister Rizvanolli wished success to Amaglobeli on his new position and expressed gratitude for the continued cooperation, trust, and support from the IMF in building a secure energy sector and ensuring a fair energy transition.

“Throughout 2023, the Republic of Kosovo secured 50 million euros from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to support the country’s Energy Strategy. We plan to co-invest these funds in competitive wind energy projects that we are currently developing. This way we ensure that the state maintains co-ownership and that consumers do not bear all the costs of constructing new capacities”, emphasized Minister Rizvanolli.
