Minister Rizvanolli visited TPP A and B, the Unit A5 repair is expected to be completed within days and the B2 Unit dilation is proceeding according to the plan
Prishtina, 26.04 2023 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, together with members of the Board of Directors of the Kosovo Energy Corporation visited the Thermal Power Plant “Kosova A” and the Thermal Power Plant “Kosova B”, where they were received by the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Përparim Kabashi and the enterprise management members.
To ensure a smooth running of the enterprise’s activities, at the meeting of the Board of Directors (BoD) of the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), held on 25.04.2023, the Board appointed Mr. Përparim Kabashi as Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the enterprise, who has been vested with all powers for enterprise management.
Shortly thereafter, last night, together with the KEK Board and the newly appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Minister Rizvanolli visited the two KEK Thermal Power Plants. On this occasion, the Director of Operations, the Directors of the two Thermal Power Plants and the heads of the Unit A5 repair projects and the Unit B2 boiler dilation informed the Minister directly of the progress of the works.
Currently, KEK is operating with two units of TPP Kosova A and Unit B1. The repair and synchronization of Unit A5 are ongoing and are expected to be completed in a few days. The Unit B2 boiler dilation project, which started on 16 April, is proceeding according to schedule. The workers engaged in generation and interventions are committed to the maximum, and both the workers and the management are committed to doing their best in this direction.
