Riyadh, 15.01.2026 – The acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, has represented Kosovo for the first time at the International Conference “Future Minerals Forum”, which is being held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On this occasion, Minister Rizvanolli emphasized that Kosovo’s participation in this forum constitutes an important opportunity for advancing international cooperation in the mineral sector.

She announced that the mining sector will be one of the priorities of the next Government, as she announced an investment of 50 million euros in mining research, as well as a strategic investment in the “Trepça” enterprise, in cooperation with an experienced corporation from a friendly country.

“With the investment of 50 million euros in research and the strategic investment in Trepça, the mining sector will have an important role in the country’s economic development. Kosovo’s involvement for the first time in the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ‘Future Minerals Forum’, with an official invitation, constitutes an important step towards strengthening international cooperation in this sector”, said Minister Rizvanolli.

Representatives from over 100 countries, as well as more than 70 international organizations and businesses, are participating in this conference. The forum aims to create integrated value chains, build institutional capacities and establish responsible, sustainable and transparent supply standards in the minerals sector.
