Minister Rizvanolli received the Ambassador of Japan, Kiminori Iwama
Prishtina, 24.09.2025 – The Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, received today the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Kosovo, Kiminori Iwama.
During the meeting, the possibilities of expanding economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed, with particular emphasis on the energy sector, as well as other areas covered by the Ministry of Economy, such as information and communication technology (ICT), mining, and other sectors with development potential.
A central point of the conversation was the Business Forum for Environment, Energy and Infrastructure, which will be held in November in Kosovo. The forum is expected to bring Japanese companies interested in investing and establishing cooperation with Kosovar businesses, an important step in strengthening ties between businesses of the two countries.
Minister Rizvanolli presented the significant progress in economic indicators that Kosovo has achieved in recent years, underlining that these results constitute an attractive opportunity for Japanese investors. Ambassador Iwama congratulated the achievements and expressed Japan’s readiness to further support Kosovo’s economic development and deepen bilateral relations. In conclusion, both sides showed appreciation for the excellent cooperation and expressed confidence that this relationship will continue to grow further in the future.
