Minister Rizvanolli participates in the “Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2025” Conference

Berlin, 19.03.2025 – The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Kosovo, Artane Rizvanolli, upon the invitation of the German Vice Chancellor, Robert Habeck, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, took part in the “Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2025 (BETD25).”

During the panel discussion on the topic “Intersectional Approaches to Conquer Workforce Scarcity for the Green Energy Transition”, Minister Rizvanolli stated that the youth of Kosovo is highly skilled and increasingly oriented toward STEM, while the right policies are creating opportunities for development and broader inclusion.

She further noted that experience and initiatives from various countries indicate that investment in training and diversity brings innovation and resilience to the energy sector.

Minister Rizvanolli also added that short-term training programs and tertiary education programs are being developed in Kosovo, and certification schemes are being established for new professions in renewable energy resources (RES), such as system installations.

Along with Minister Rizvanolli, other panelists included Raphael PM Lotilla, Secretary of Energy in the Philippines; Damilola Asaleye, Co-Founder and COO of the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria; and Anant Wadhwa from Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL).

This is the 11th edition of the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue, held at the Federal Foreign Office on 18 and 19 March 2025, with the participation of experts, policymakers, and government officials from many countries around the world.

This conference is one of the most important in the energy sector, convened annually in the same location, serving as the gathering venue where stakeholders in the energy sector meet at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue to advance the energy transition.

The Energy Transition Dialogue is supported by the Federal Government of Germany and is a joint initiative of the German Renewable Energy Federation, the German Solar Association, and the German Energy Agency.
