Prishtina, 20.12.2024 – The new KOSTT 110/35/10(20) kV substation, equipped with the latest technology (GIS), has been inaugurated. This substation will improve the energy supply for 15,000 residents and businesses of Fushë Kosovë.

The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, stated that the inauguration of the energization of KOSTT’s new 110/35/10(20) kV substation in Fushë Kosova is another significant step toward improving the electricity supply in the Republic of Kosovo.

According to Minister Rizvanolli, this substation is expected to have a considerable impact on improving the quality of electricity supply for citizens of the Fushë Kosova municipality, providing more stability for customers and helping meet the growing needs of the country’s energy network.

“This project is an evidence of the commitment to developing a modern and sustainable infrastructure in the energy sector”, she said.

The energization project of the 110/10 kV substation in Fushë Kosova was built using high-voltage technology – gas insulated switchgear (GIS), which offers maximum operational security and minimizes environmental impact.

The project, together with the line investment, amounts to 6,441,703 million euros and serves to increase the transmission and transformation capacities of the energy network in Kosovo.

The Ministry of Economy, the Government of Kosovo, and the Energy Regulatory Office are among the institutions that contributed to the implementation of this project.
