Government supports KOSTT in meeting obligations towards TSO-Albania and KESH

Prishtina, 27.11.2024 – The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has allocated a subsidy in the amount of €6,624,701 to the Transmission, System and Market Operator (KOSTT), with the aim of covering obligations towards the Albanian Transmission System Operator (TSO) and the Albanian Power Corporation (KESH).

The subsidy allocated to KOSTT enables securing of secondary reserve from Albania and the increase of its capacity from 25MW to 40MW, in accordance with the rules and agreement of the ENTSO-E, which was renewed in September 2024.

Furthermore, this will contribute to enhancing the security of supply and cooperation with the Republic of Albania in energy exchange, which is particularly important as we enter the cold months and the demand for electricity increases.
