Prishtina, 26 August 2025 – The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has received the final installment from the European Union, thereby successfully completing the disbursement of funds under the Energy Support Package (IPA 2023), executing an additional €7.5 million from the total allocation of €75 million provided by the EU for this package.

From these funds, the Ministry of Economy will disburse payments to the final beneficiaries, comprising 1,459 individual recipients and 10 businesses, by the beginning of September.

Since 2022, initially through measures of the Ministry of Economy and subsequently with support from the European Union, over 43,000 households and businesses have received support amounting to more than €19.6 million, contributing to reduced energy costs and improved living conditions nationwide.

The Ministry of Economy has successfully completed all administrative and technical procedures in accordance with Decision No. 20/145 of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, which establishes the operation of the Steering and Coordinating Committee for the implementation of the Action Plan to mitigate the socio-economic impact of the energy crisis. The final implementation report was submitted on 28 February 2025 to the European Union Office in Kosovo.
