Deputy Minister Mjeku attends the works inauguration ceremony for the water supply project in Mamusha
Mamusha, 04.09.2025 – The Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, participated in the works inauguration ceremony marking the commencement of the final phase of the Mamusha water supply project.
Alongside Deputy Minister Mjeku, the event was attended by Caretaker Minister of Regional Development, Fikrim Damka, the Mayor of Mamusha, Abdulhadi Krasniç and the Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Water Company “Gjakova”, Hasan Krasniqi.
Deputy Minister Mjeku emphasized that the two-phase project, with the first phase nearing completion, is valued at €1.8 million, of which €1.2 million was allocated by the Ministry of Economy. In addition to Mamusha, the project also serves the villages of Krushë, Piranë, Zojz, and Medvec, bringing drinking water from the Radoniq Lake.
He underlined that Mamusha, a town predominantly inhabited by the Turkish community, welcomed this investment as vital for its citizens.
Mjeku further stated that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to supporting the improvement of public services for all communities across the country.
