On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti said that by introducing this Scheme, they are mainly helping enterprises that have moved to the open energy market.

“We are supporting local producers as a key pillar of economic development and employment, and at the same time as the most energy-consuming sector, which, as a result, is most affected by energy costs. Therefore, through this scheme, we are dedicating special support to enterprises that have entered the open energy market,” the Prime Minister said.

Minister Rizvanolli said that with the Clean Energy Grant Scheme, they are providing businesses with concrete support that will help them reduce energy costs, increase competition, and better prepare for the liberalized market.

“We are providing assistance through 3 new schemes for businesses, supporting businesses for the first time in investments in the insulation of their buildings. Also, for the first time, we will support battery energy storage systems, as well as frequency converters to increase the efficiency of existing equipment,” the minister declared.

Meanwhile, the Minister of MIET, Rozeta Hajdari, said that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises will benefit from this scheme, with a focus on enterprises most affected by the liberalization of the energy market.

“The focus of this scheme will be on the enterprises most affected by the transition to the open energy market, whose projects aim to increase energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy within enterprises,” declared Minister Hajdari.

The Ambassador of Luxembourg to Kosovo, Eric Dietz, stated that this scheme marks a step towards Luxembourg’s long-term commitment to strengthening the private sector and supporting sustainable economic growth.

This scheme amounts to EUR 1 million and is funded by the Government of Luxembourg and implemented by KIESA in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and LuxDev, the Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation.
