Albright: MCC is willing to work closely with the Government to build a bright future for the citizens of Kosovo

Prishtina, 19.10.2022 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, hosted the Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Alice Albright, to discuss about implementation of the Compact Program worth of 236 million dollars.

In the meeting, CEO Albright stated that that “the Compact Program is a significant investment per capita, and this shows not only the close relationship between the United States and the people of Kosovo, but also the willingness of MCC to work closely with the Government to build a bright future for the citizens”.

Minister Rizvanolli informed CEO Albright that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is taking all proper steps to ensure that the project will be implemented in the fastest and best possible way.

So far, the Government has ratified the agreement in the Assembly, in a record time, established two working groups consisting of experts and professionals, who will push the work ahead, and has dedicated our staff’s full attention to ensure that no there will be no lag in the process.
