Prishtina, 23.04.2025 – The Kosovo Police, at the request of the Ministry of Economy (ME) through the Public Enterprises Monitoring Unit, has discontinued the activity of the parallel institutions operating under Belgrade’s directives within the territory of Kosovo.

The Serbian parallel company that was closed today is the Water-Supply and Waste Company “Novo Javno Preduzeće”, which had been operating in Shtërpce.

The Ministry of Economy, in line with its mandates and mechanisms, is committed to serving all citizens without distinction and in every part of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. In this respect, we shall continue to work without interruption.

The Ministry of Economy thanks the Kosovo Police for its support and calls on the competent authorities, including the Prosecution Office, to conduct immediate investigations to assess the damages and benefits resulting from the unlawful activity of this Serbian parallel institution.
