The Ministry of Economy and “Hidrodrini” RWC sign agreement: EUR 700 thousand for improved supply of drinking water to the citizens of the Municipality of Peja
Prishtina, 09.06.2026 – The Ministry of Economy has signed an agreement with the “Hidrodrini” JSC Regional Water Supply Company for the financing of two capital projects worth EUR 700 thousand, with the aim of improving the supply of drinking water to the citizens of the Municipality of Peja.
The agreement was signed by the acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, the acting director of the Public Enterprise Policy and Monitoring Unit, Dëfrim Pllashniku, and the CEO of the “Hidrodrini” JSC RWC, Dri Cena.
The agreement foresees the purchase and installation of water meters and manholes in the service area, worth EUR 200,000, as well as the construction of a drinking water tank with a capacity of 5.000 m³, in the amount of EUR 500.000.
This project benefits about 30,000 residents of the city of Peja, Vitomerica, Lugu i Leshanit, Lugu i Trestenikut and Qyshk, improving services and living conditions for the residents of these areas.
The Ministry of Economy will supervise the implementation of the agreement through the Public Enterprise Policy and Monitoring Unit, while the projects will be implemented by “Hidrodrini” JSC RWC, in accordance with the legislation in force and standards of transparency and accountability.
The Ministry of Economy remains committed to supporting strategic investments in the water sector, with a focus on improving services for citizens and the sustainable development of public infrastructure throughout the country.
