Prishtina, 26 March 2026 – The Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy, Leonita Shabani Mullarama, took part in the panel “Just Energy Transition in Kosovo: from policies to local implementation”, within the 13^th edition of the Week of Women (WoW).

During the panel, Secretary General Shabani Mullarama emphasized that the energy transition in Kosovo is being implemented through concrete reforms and strategic policies, including the Energy Strategy 2022-2031, renewable energy auctions, the Solar4Kosovo projects, as well as programs for the protection of vulnerable consumers.

She placed emphasis on the importance of cooperation with municipalities and the inclusion of the community in the implementation of energy policies, as well as on the integration of social and gender aspects through gender impact assessment, gender budgeting and subsidy schemes that support families in need and reduce energy poverty.

In conclusion, she underlined that the energy transition is an all-inclusive process that requires the cooperation of institutions, partners and citizens, with the aim that no one is left behind.
