Minister Rizvanolli visits two businesses in Ferizaj, beneficiaries of the solar and photovoltaic panels subsidy
Ferizaj, 04.07.2025 – The Caretaker Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, and the Director of the Department for Territorial Development and Green Agenda at the EU Office in Kosovo, Olivier Boudart, carried out an informative visit to two businesses in Ferizaj, beneficiaries of subsidies from the Ministry of Economy (ME) through the European Union (EU) grant for subsidising with solar and photovoltaic panels.
Minister Rizvanolli saw first-hand the investments made at “Natural” Restaurant and at “Swan Pool&SPA”, within the framework of the subsidy for photovoltaic solar systems, and was informed how the electricity bills of these two businesses have decreased significantly after the installation of solar and photovoltaic panels.
“Their experiences are the best proof of how sectors such as swimming pools, hotels and gastronomy can reduce costs and increase performance by investing in their own capacities of renewable energy,” said Minister Rizvanolli.
The Manager of “Swan Pool & SPA”, Sevdije Rexhepi, said that this business has benefited a 6,000-euro subsidy from the Ministry of Economy for photovoltaic (PV) panels for the generation of electricity for self-consumption. She said that the electricity bill has been reduced by up to 40 %.
Whereas the owner of “Natural” Restaurant, Isa Rysha, said that, as a business, they have benefited 2,400 euros from ME for solar panels for the heating of sanitary water.
Minister Rizvanolli thanked the European Union for its support in overcoming the energy crisis through smart investments with long-term effects for our business and economy.
