Launch of the Public Call for subsidizing insulation of individual residential houses

Prishtina, 26.08.2024 – The Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund (KEEF) has launched the second Public Call for energy efficiency measures in occupied individual houses, implemented with the supported of the European Union.

The project aims to support household consumers by enhancing energy efficiency in occupied individual homes, including the insulation of external house walls, roof insulation, and the replacement of external windows and doors.

At the launching conference of this Call, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, urged citizens to apply as soon as possible for house insulation subsidy in the Call that will be open for two weeks.

“When we designed this package, we ensured that the benefits would be immediate but not short-term. The measures are designed to improve the quality of life and reduce energy costs for our country’s families and businesses in the long-term. This package, supported by the European Union, is based on a successful scheme of the Ministry of Economy during the winter of 2022-2023, the scheme of subsidies for efficient heating equipment for 10,000 families, along with other innovative ideas”, emphasized Prime Minister Kurti.

The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, speaking about the successes of last year’s energy efficiency measures for individual hoses, emphasized that a year ago, together with the Fund, they decided to launch the scheme for individual houses, which was much more complex than some of the projects previously developed, but the implementation of the subsidy scheme was successful and remains one of the projects that will be long remembered.

“A year ago, we jointly decided to start the scheme for individual houses, which was much more complex than the projects that had been implemented. This scheme not only went smoothly, without complaints, but it was so successful that it is one of the things that will be remembered for a long time. It is an exceptionally special pleasure to be able to continue this year with this set of measures, once again financially supported by the European Union”, added Rizvanolli.
