Prishtina, 05.06.2024 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, met with the Director of the Energy Community Secretariat in Europe, Artur Lorkowski, and his delegation.

In a lengthy and productive meeting, they discussed the current state of electricity in Kosovo and the upcoming investments in this sector.

Minister Rizvanolli emphasized that the Energy Community Secretariat in Europe has supported Kosovo in many crucial processes, including the legal framework and the management of the energy crisis, for which she thanked Mr. Lorkowski for his support.

During the meeting, they also addressed the most important current energy issues, particularly Kosovo’s National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), the Harmonization of Environmental Policies with European Policies (ETS), and the Agreement on the Electricity Market.

Additionally, the discussions highlighted the current challenges and processes, and the facilitation that the European Union can offer on Kosovo’s path towards energy transformation.
