Publicly-Owned Enterprise Policy and Monitoring Unit
- The following are the duties and responsibilities of the Publicly-Owned Enterprise Policy and Monitoring Unit:
- Supports the Minister and Government in the exercise of their responsibilities related to publicly-owned enterprises.
- Prepares and submits to the Minister for further proceeding to the Government of analyses and recommendations related to central publicly-owned enterprises under the competency of the Minister and/or Government.
- Prepares and submits to the Minister proposals for supervision of central publicly-owned enterprises, and to monitor their compliance with the Law on Publicly-Owned Enterprises and other applicable legislation;
- Gathers respective data on publicly-owned enterprises and provide support, as needed, to the Division of Budget and Finance in relation to all aspects of the Kosovo Budget related to publicly-owned enterprises;
- Takes part in board meetings of publicly-owned enterprises, as an observer representing the shareholder; and
- Performs other tasks and responsibilities stipulated in the Law on Publicly-Owned Enterprises, Law on Amendments and Supplements of the Law on Publicly-Owned Enterprises and other respective applicable legislation.
- The Head of the Publicly-Owned Enterprise Policy and Monitoring Unit reports to the Minister of Economic Development.
- Publicly-Owned Enterprise Policy and Monitoring Unit is at the same structural line with Departments.
- The number of employees in the Publicly-Owned Enterprise Policy and Monitoring Unit is twelve (12).
